Anushka Gets To Play A Queen In 3D Movie
Anushka will be playing the lead role in a historic Telugu film titled ‘Rani Rudramma Devi’ Anushka’s fans think she has a queenly bearing so it will be quite appropriate to cast her as a warrior quuen. Rani Rudramma Devi was one of the most prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty from the Deccan Plateau. She was also one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. She was born, as Rudramba, to King Ganapathideva. As Ganapathideva had no sons, Rudramma was formally designated as a son through the ancient Putrika ceremony and given the male name of Rudradeva. Director Gunasekhar directs this film that is based on the life of Rani Rudramma Devi. Gunasekhar is known for his films with Mahesh Babu like ‘Okkadu’, ‘Sainikudu’ and Arjun. He also made the low budget hit ‘Sogasu Chooda Tharama’.
The film will be shot in stereoscopic 3D format and this would be the first historical film in India to be shot in stereoscopic 3D. Thotta Tharani would be the art director while Ilayaraja will compose the music for this grand film that is being produced by the director himself. The movie’s launch is set to happen in February next year and currently pre-production work is going on.
