Devaki

Devaki is a 2019 Indian Kannada crimethriller film written and directed by H. Lohith and produced by Akshay C.S. and Ravish R.C. The film was produced under RCS Banner. It stars Priyanka Upendra and Kishore along with Aishwarya Upendra. The supporting cast includes Sanjeev Jaiswal. The score is by Nobin Paul, and the cinematography is by H.C. Venu. The film was edited by Ravichandran. The film marks the first appearance of Aishwarya Upendra, opposite her mother.

The film was announced soon after the success of Upendra and Lohith’s movie Mummy. This is their second collaboration. The London Economic newspaper cited this movie as one of the examples of Indian thriller movies of 2019 which have the potential to gain global attention due to the absence of songs – which it considered as a staple in Indian movies irrespective of the genre.[1]

Rustum

Rustum is a 2019 Indian Kannada-language action crime thriller film directed by Ravi Varma in his directorial debut.[1][2] It was produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra under the banner of Jayanna Combines. The film features Shiva Rajkumar,[3][4] Vivek Oberoi,[5] Shraddha Srinath,[6][7] Rachita Ram and Mayuri Kyatari in the lead roles.

The movie was the Kannada debut of Vivek OberoiJ. Mahendran , Harish Uthaman and Sakshi Chaudhary. This is the first Kannada movie to be set in Bihar for a large part of the movie. The movie was also noted to have a large portion of the second half of the movie in Hindi.[8] A sequel to the movie was announced after the movie became a success.[9]

Arishadvarga

Arishadvarga is a neo noir mystery thriller film written, directed and produced by Arvind Kamath, under the banner Kanasu Talkies.[1][2][3] The film is a tale of lust, anger, love, greed, power, jealousy, mistaken identity and individual deficiencies. It’s a fatalistic noir tale of one man’s vain struggle to escape his own limitations, unfortunately, an impossibility in the world of noir. The film stars AvinashSamyukta Hornad,[4] Nanda Gopal, Mahesh Bung, Anju Alva Naik, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Aravind Kuplikar, Sudha Belawadi, M.G Sathya and Sripathi Manjanabayalu in prominent roles. The film had its world premiere at London Indian Film Festival during June 2019,[5][6][7][8][9] where it received positive reviews, followed by the Asian Premiere at Singapore South Asian International film festival during September 2019 and North American Premiere at the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival during November 2019.[10][11]

I Love You

I Love You is an Indian Kannada romantic drama film written, directed and produced by R. Chandru.It completed 100 days in many theatres.[1][2] The film features UpendraRachita Ram and Sonu Gowda in the lead roles.[3] The film is the second collaboration of Upendra and director Chandru after the successful Brahma (2014). It completed 50 days at theatres.

The film is based on Upendra’s earlier movies AUpendra and Uppi 2.[4][5][6][7] The cinematography of the film was done by Sugunaan. The music for the film was scored by Dr. Kiran Thaotambyle, Indra K.M, and Aria Dakshin. The movie was reported to be similar to the 2007 English movie I Think I Love My Wife which itself was based on the 1972 French movie Love in the Afternoon.[8]

Amar

Amar is a 2019 Indian Kannada romantic action film directed by Nagashekar and produced by Sandesh Nagaraj under Sandesh Productions banner.[1] The film stars Abhishek Gowda, son of veteran actor Ambarish,[2] making his acting debut and Tanya Hope in the lead roles.[3] The supporting cast includes DevarajSudharaniChikkanna and Sadhu Kokila. Actor Darshan features in a guest role besides Anup Bhandari and Rachita Ram in special appearances.[4]

The principal photography began on 28 May 2018 and the filming is set to be held in and around Bengaluru and Switzerland.[5] The technical crew members for the film include Arjun Janya as the music composer, Satya Hegde as the cinematographer and Deepu S. Kumar as the editor.[6]

Ratnamanjarii

Ratnamanjarii is a 2019 Indian Kannada action thriller film written and directed by debutant Prasiddh. First of its kind, the movie is produced by NRI Kannadigas; S Sandeep Kumar (Sharavathi Filmss), Nataraj Halebeedu (SNS Cinemaas) and Dr. Naveen Krishna (Aryan Motion Pictures). Harshavardhan Raj is scoring and composing music for the movie. Preetham Tegginamane is the DOP and Pavan Ramisetty is the editor. The feature film stars Raj Charan, Akhila Prakash, Pallavi Raju and Shraddha in lead roles.[1] Ratnamanjarii’s story line is inspired and based on true events which took place in USA in 2008[2] and revolves around real life murder incident of Kannadiga elderly couple in the US.

Soojidara

Soojidara is a 2019 Indian Kannada language drama film written and directed by Mounish Badiger, making his debut into Sandalwood. It is jointly produced by Sachidran Aathnayak and Abijith Kotegar under the banner Cine Sneha Talkies. It features Haripriya and Yashwanth Shetty in the lead roles; Yashwanth is making his debut as a lead actor with the film. The supporting cast includes Achyuth KumarSuchendra Prasad, and Chaitra Kootoor. The films background score was composed by S. Pradeep Varman and soundtrack was composed by Bhinna Shadja and the cinematography was handled by Ashok V. Raman and editing was done by Mohan L. Rangakhale.[1][2][3][4]
