Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

Synopsis

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a Indian biographical drama movie based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage. The movie is written and directed by R. Madhavan, also he plays the role of Nambi Narayanan along with Simran. 
The movie shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and English, the latter as Rocketry: Nambi Vilaivu and features a soundtrack composed by Sam CS. The story spans across Narayanan’s days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him.

Walter (2020 film)

Walter is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language crime action film written and directed by U. Anbarasan and produced by Shruthi Thilak. The film stars Sibi Sathyaraj, Nataraj, Samuthirakani, Riythvika, Sanam Shetty, Munishkanth and Shirin Kanchwala. The principal photography of the film commenced in June 2019,[1] and the film was released on 13 March 2020.[2]

In September 2018, it was announced that U. Anbarasan would make his directorial debut through a cop film titled Walter and had cast Vikram Prabhu, Arjun and Jackie Shroff in the lead roles. Produced by Madukkur Movie Makers, the movie was set to have music composed by Radhan. However the project was later shelved.[3]

The film restarted in 2019 with new producers and Sibi Sathyaraj was cast in the lead role, with Gautham Menon and Samuthirakani also a part of the film. Menon later backed out and was replaced by Natarajan Subramaniam. The shooting of the film went on floors from June 2019 in and around Kumbakonam and Thanjavur with casting Sibi Sathyaraj as a cop.[4] The Indian cinematographer Natty and Samuthirakani was also roped in to play crucial roles which remains confidential. Rasamathi, Elaiyaraja, Dharma Prakash, and Vicky were signed up as Cinematographer, Editor, Music Director, and Stunt Master respectively.

Vinodhan (aka) Vinothan is a Tamil movie with production by Prabhu Deva Studios, direction by Victor Jayaraj. Isari Velan’s grandson Varun will play the male lead. Sarabham fame Salony Luthra and Paradesi fame Vedhika are doing female lead roles in the movie.
A source close to the team says, “As the title suggests, Vedhika’s characterisation in the film will be peculiar. The actress will be playing a 60-year-old woman in some segments of the film, which is a psychological romantic drama.
The music for this film is by D Imman and Madhan Karky is the lyricist. 
Director Jayaraj said that he was disillusioned with how human psychology has been portrayed in Tamil films and wanted to make something intense with various dimensions.

Mariyappan

Mariyappan is a biographical sports drama movie on Mariyappan Thangavelu, who won gold for India in high jump in T-42 category. The movie is being directed by Aishwarya Dhanush. The film will have music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Velraj, dialogues by filmmaker Raju Murugan and and Prasanna GK for editing.
The movie Mariyappan, the film will throw the spotlight on the life of the 21-year-old high jumper from Salem district in Tamil Nadu. Cuckoo and Joker movie fame, director Raju Murugan penned for movie dialogues. 
The film’s first look poster was announced on unveiled New Year (2017) by Shah Rukh Khan, and he wrote on his Twitter page: “Here’s presenting the first look of the biopic on Mariyappan Thangavelu, our very own national hero. All the best Aishwarya.”
The movie poster also revealed that the film will be simultaneously shot in English as well.
