Kalathil Santhipom is an upcoming multi starrer that has Jiiva and Arulnithi playing the lead roles. Roped in to play the female leads in this film are Priya Bhavani Shankar and Manjima Mohan. Actor Radha Ravi will be seen in a pivotal role in this flick which also has Robo Shankar, Aadukalam Naren, Renuka and Bala Saravanan in the supporting roles.

N Rajasekar is the director of this friendship-based film and Jiiva’s father and ace producer RB Chaudhury is bankrolling it under his banner Super Good Films. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer of Kalathil Santhipom with the rest of the technical crew comprising R Ashok for dialogues, Pa Vijay and Viveka for lyrics, Abinandhan Ramanujam for cinematography, Dinesh Ponraj for editing and M Murugan for art direction.

The shooting of this action drama was completed a few days ago and it is currently in the post-production mode. Kalathil Santhipom has been shot in various picturesque locations in Chennai, Thenkasi and Karaikudi.

Gypsy is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language romantic road movie written and directed by Raju Murugan.^[1] The film stars Jiiva, Natasha Singh, Lal Jose, and Sunny Wayne. This film marked the debut appearance of Malayalam actor-director Lal Jose and actor Sunny Wayne in Tamil cinema, with the former playing the antagonist. It was produced by Ambeth Kumar under the banner of Olympia Movies. The film’s soundtrack was composed by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography and editing were handled by Selvakumar S. K. and Raymond Derrick Crasta, respectively.^[2]

After running into censorship troubles, the film was initially scheduled to release on 24 January 2020, but later pushed to 6 March 2020 release.^[3][4][5] The film had its theatrical release on 6 March 2020 after several delays and received mixed reviews from the critics mainly criticising the writing and screenplay.^[6][7][8] Critics revealed that the storyline and release of the film was a nick of time which resembled the 2020 Delhi riots.^[9]

Now, the director and the star have reportedly decided to take off the film, and it is to be produced by Seven Screen Studio, which is producing Vikram’s current film ‘Cobra’. Vikram is expected to shoot simultaneously for this film along with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. However, fans have been expecting that Chiyaan 60 will be a gangster drama, and they are waiting for a film like ‘Gemini’ and ‘Bheema’ from Vikram.

Meanwhile, Vikram will be next seen in the film ‘Cobra’, which is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, and the film has 25 percent of the shoot left to wrap up. Vikram will be donning a record number of looks for the thriller, and it has music scored by AR Rahman.
