Helen is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language survival thriller film directed by Mathukutty Xavier (in his directorial debut) and produced by Vineeth Sreenivasan under the companies Habit of Life and Big Bang Entertainments.^[2][3] The film stars Anna Ben in the title role, while Lal, Noble Babu Thomas, Aju Varghese, Rony David and Binu Pappu appears in supporting roles. It was written by Alfred Kurian Joseph, Noble Thomas and Mathukutty Xavier. Its soundtrack was composed by Shaan Rahman.^[4]

Helen was released on 15 November 2019. The film is being remade into Tamil by Gokul, and remakes into Hindi, Kannada and Telugu are also in production. Ben has won Kerala State Film Award – Special Jury Award for her performance as Helen Paul.^[5]

Jack & Daniel is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language action-thriller film written and directed by S.L. Puram Jayasurya.^[1] The film was produced by Shibu Thameens through Thameens Films; it stars Dileep and Arjun Sarja, with Anju Kurian, Saiju Kurup and Suresh Krishna in supporting roles. Shaan Rahman and Gopi Sundar composed the film’s soundtrack and score.^[2][3][4][5]

Nalpathiyonnu (41) is a 2019 Indian Malayalam language film directed by Lal Jose starring Biju Menon, Sharanjith, Nimisha Sajayan,Dhanya Ananya, Indrans and Suresh Krishna.^[1] The film is produced by G Prajith, Anumod Bose and Adarsh Narayan and the music composed by Bijibal.^[2] This socio-political satire unravels through hilarious incidents when two people – strong followers of Communist ideologies-set out on a pilgrimage to Sabarimala. This is the 25th directorial venture of ace director Lal Jose.^[3][4] The film was released on 8 November 2019.^{[citation needed]}

Moothon (transl.? The Elder One),^[1] also known internationally as The Elder One,^[2] is a 2019 Indian drama film^[3][4] written and directed by Geetu Mohandas, and jointly produced by S. Vinod Kumar, Anurag Kashyap, Ajay G. Rai and Alan McAlex. Featuring a bilingual narrative in Jeseri dialect of Malayalam and Hindi, the film stars Nivin Pauly, Shashank Arora, Sobhita Dhulipala, Melissa Raju Thomas, Sanjana Dipu and Roshan Mathew. Hindi-language dialogues were written by Anurag Kashyap. The film premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival and received a positive critical response.

Under World is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language action–gangster drama film directed by Arun Kumar Aravind, written by Shibin Francis and starring Asif Ali, Samyuktha Menon, Farhaan Faasil, Mukesh, and Jean Paul Lal in the lead roles.^{[1][2][3][4][5]} The film was released on 1 November 2019 and received mixed reviews from both the audience and critics.
