Pottu (English: Vermillion / Bindi) is a 2019 Indian Tamil horror comedy film written and directed by Vadivudaiyan. The film features Bharath in the lead role, while Namitha, Srushti Dange and Ineya are in the female leads. With music composed by Amresh Ganesh, the film is produced by John Max for Shalom Studios. Pottu is a movie, following along the lines of this producer-director combo’s earlier movie Sowkarpettai (2016).[1] The film was launched in January 2016 and released on 8 March 2019.[2] It is dubbed in Telugu and released on 8 March 2019 as Bottu[3] and in Hindi as Bindi. Hindi dubbed version rights is owned by Dimension Pictures.[4] The film opened to negative reviews.[5]

LKG (also interpreted as Lalgudi Karuppiah Gandhi) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language political satire film produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner Vels Film International, directed by K. R. Prabhu on his directorial debut.[2][3] The film stars RJ Balaji and Priya Anand in the main lead roles while Nanjil Sampath, J. K. Rithesh, Ramkumar Ganesan, and Mayilsamy play supporting roles.[4] Leon James has been roped into score music for the film, while Vidhu Ayyanna and Anthony were handled for the cinematography and editing respectively.[5][6] The film released on 22 February 2019 to positive reviews and became a super hit.

Dev is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language romantic action-adventure film written and directed by Rajath Ravishankar on his directorial debut.[3][4]
The film stars Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh in the main lead prominent roles, while Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan play supportive and pivotal roles in the film.[5][6] Harris Jayaraj has been roped into score music for the film while cinematography is handled by R. Velraj and editing is done by Anthony L. Ruben.[7] The film marks the first collaboration between Karthi and music director Harris Jayaraj.[8] The film was earlier scheduled to have its theatrical release on the eve of Christmas, and later scheduled to post Thai Pongal but was postponed due to tight race at the box office.[9]
The film was scheduled to have its theatrical release on 14 February 2019 on the eve of Valentine’s Day.[10][11] It was premiered exclusively in USA, a day before the original release. The film received negative reviews from critics, due to which it was trimmed by 15 minutes.[1]

Kalavu (transl.?Theft) is a 2019 Indian Tamil thriller film written and directed by Murali Karthick. The film stars Kalaiyarasan and Karunakaran in the leading roles, with Vatsan Chakravarthy and Abhirami Iyer in a supporting roles. The film features music composed by Sundaramurthy.[1] The film was released on ZEE5 on 9 February 2019.
Debutant director Murali Karthick created a 37-minute pilot film to show producers before getting an opportunity to make the film. Kalaiyarasan, Karunakaran and Venkat Prabhu were selected to play the lead roles, while model Abhirami Iyer was signed to play a lead actress.[2][3]
