Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, also known as Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language historical epic war film co-written and directed by Priyadarshan.Set in the 16th century, the film depicts the battle exploits of Kunjali Marakkar IV—the naval admiral of the Samoothiri. Kunjali Marakkars organised the first ever naval defense of the Indian coast by defending Portuguese invasion at the Malabar Coast for almost a century. The screenplay was co-written by Ani I. V. Sasi. The film was produced by Aashirvad Cinemas with Moonshot Entertainments and Confident Group as co-producers. It stars Mohanlal in the title role, along with Arjun, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Mukesh, Siddique, and Nedumudi Venu in supporting roles.

The film began principal photography in December 2018 and was concluded in March 2019, with the film shot at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It had an year-long post-production work. With a budget of ?100 crore, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is the most expensive Malayalam film ever made. The film was originally scheduled for release on 26 March 2020, along with its dubbed version in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages, But the release date was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Synopsis

Silence is a Tamil thriller movie directed by Hemant Madhukar. The movie starring Anushka Shetty as lead role alongside Madhavan, Anjali, Michael Madsen, Subbaraju, Shalini Pandey and Srinivas Avasarala in supporting roles. The movie was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the movie was titled as Nishabdham and later titled Silence.

Red (2020 film)

Red is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by Kishore Tirumala and co-produced by Krishna Chaitanya and Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under Sri Sravanthi Movies. An official remake of the 2019 Tamil-language film Thadam, it stars Ram Pothineni in a double role alongside Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer. The story has been written by Magizh Thirumeni who also wrote and directed the original film, and the music has been composed by Mani Sharma. Sameer Reddy handled the cinematography, while Peter Hein choreographed the action sequences. It is Ram’s eighteenth film as an actor. The film went on floors from 14 November 2019, after the first shot was clapped by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur on 30 October 2019.

The story revolves around two lookalike men living in the same city. One of them attacks a man and leaves him dead, following which an investigation begins. A strong evidence leads the cops to capturing one of the lookalikes. However, just as they believe the case is closed, the cops also capture the second lookalike, and now have to find out which one among the two committed the murder.

Red was scheduled to release theatrically on 9 April 2020.  The release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There were rumors that the film might premiere on an over-the-top media service (OTT), but Ram denied and confirmed the film would be released in theatres.[

V (film)

V is an upcoming Indian Telugu-languageaction thriller film written and directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, featuring Nani, Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. It also features Jagapathi Babu, Vennela Kishore, Nassar and Srinivas Avasarala in supporting roles.[ The music was composed by Amit Trivedi,[3] while the cinematography was by P. G. Vinda. It marks Nani‘s 25th film and he will be portraying a negative role for the first time in his career. It was planned to be released on 25 March 2020 on Ugadi, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tughlaq Durbar

Helmed by debutant director Delhi Prasad Deenadayal, the film is rumoured to be a fantasy comedy with dialogues penned by Balaji Tharaneetharan.

Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film with newbie director Delhiprasad Deenadayal, a political film titled ‘Tughlaq Durbar’ has kick started with an official pooja today. While the film has Aditi Rao Hydari playing the female lead, Parthiepan and Karunakaran are also part of the cast.
While Balaji Tharaneetharan is writing the dialogues and Govind Vasantha has been roped in to compose music for the film, the cinematoghraphy is being handled by ’96’ director Prem Kumar.

Krack: Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan’s film to get a direct OTT release?

The makers of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film, Krack, have initiated discussions with a popular OTT platform to release the film soon.

Last year, Telugu actor Ravi Teja announced that he will be collaborating with director Gopichand Malineni for the third time, with whom he had previously worked in films like Don Seenu and Balupu. The film was supposed to release this summer. However, due to the spread of novel coronavirus, they couldn’t release it on time.

According to the latest reports, the makers of the film have decided to opt for a digital release as they are uncertain about the reopening of theatres. Ravi Teja, who has a huge fan base down South, has agreed to release the film on OTT.
